Getting paid and staying safe
How payment works for professionals, and how to spot a scam.
How you get paid
The employer funds the work before you start. When they approve what you deliver, the payment is released to your wallet, and you can withdraw it to your bank account.
Keep work and payment on Topplancer
Never agree to be paid outside the platform. If a client asks you to, decline and report it; off-platform payments lose the protection you rely on.
Spot the warning signs
Be careful with any client who:
- Asks you to pay a fee to get the job
- Wants your bank login, card details or one-time codes
- Sends links to unfamiliar sites to “start the project”
- Pushes you to move the conversation off Topplancer
If something feels wrong
Stop, do not share any details, and contact our support team. It is always fine to ask us whether a request is genuine.
